Key Highlights

The project was supported by World Vision International Nepal (WVIN) and implemented by Rastriya Rojagar Prawardhan Kendra from 1 October 2020 to September 2020. The project was implemented in ward number 7, 8 & 9 of Haripurwa Municipality.  The objective of the project was to increase the maternity checkup during the pregnancy period and reduce the number of malnourished children.

    • A screening Monitoring committee was formed in 4 working Palikas
    • PHC ORC Building constructed and Handover at Haripurwa-9, Bagewa.
    • Newly constructed as well as existing PHC ORC were supported with the medical equipment.
    • FCHVs were empowered to support the children to fight against the diseases.
    • 2O Health Mother Groups were formed and the meetings were conducted to empower the mothers for healthy mother and child.
    • 500 Households from healthy mother groups were provided with buckets with tap for establishing hand washing corners at their home.
    • Healthy baby Competition was organized among 875 (Girls – 444, Boys- 431) children below 5 years of age.
    • 9 PD Hearth Session for 88 malnourished children were operated by the trained facilitators to increase the weight of children.
